Here is an idea I saw a couple years ago and have frequently been making for my kids ever since. This idea is not my own and I’m not sure who to credit because I don’t know who invented this…I just know it wasn’t me!
Write out a sequence of letters or numbers on craft sticks and leave some blanks. Write the missing letters or numbers on a sheet of craft sticks and encourage your kids to fill-in the blanks.
This activity is wonderful because you can easily modify to fit your child’s skill level. For numbers you can use counting sequences, skip counting or math problems. With letters you can write an ABC sequence or fill in the blank on words.
